I think I'm going to look into computer classes at the local college. I must learn to type! My Mom has been too busy to post for me. Today I finally had to insist that she tell you about me, the Superdog! Today, me, my stinky brother, my humans, and about 40 or so of my distant relatives (the furry type), and their humans walked in the Buffalo Bill Parade. It was so much fun! We walked in a 2 mile parade. I was asked to wear a begging vest. I wasn't quite sure what that was. Did it involve any treats? I'll pretty much do anything for a treat.
Turns out, my friends and I were "begging" for donations for GRRR (Golden Retriever Rescue of the Rockies). I wasn't sure if I was up for the job. I got a little excited as we waited for our turn in the parade. My stinky brother wasn't asked to wear a vest. They could probably tell he's still a monster dog. The parade started and my Golden heart was racing. It was a lot of responsibility for a 2 year old to try to help so many dogs that need help. I hoped I wouldn't let them down. We walked and walked past all the people watching the parade. All I had to do was be my beautiful, diva self and they shoved money in my vest. (I also let tons of kids pet me). Are you kidding, I just have to look cute? I couldn't believe my luck. I'm not sure if this is what they wanted from me or not, but hey it worked! I was working hard to earn donations, and then I notice my brother. GRRR had a cool truck that they kept water for us on, and let the "Golden oldies" and a few Golden babies ride on. My stinky brother ran right up to that truck and jumped on! He plopped himself down and took a nap! I work and he gets to rest? Something is wrong with that. I'm calling the union!
I raked in a grand total of $41 to help other GRRR dogs! It made me feel so happy that I could help. I want all Goldens to have a family that loves them. I'm sending out big Golden kisses to all the nice people that made donations and filled all our begging vests. The special GRRR dogs appreciate it!
Now it's time for my nap. I had a rewarding but tiring day. What a great life!
Tail wags,
Kona
